Downtown Austin is a planned rooftop padel club on top of the city-owned parking garage at 601 East 5th Street, in the heart of downtown Austin near the Convention Center and Rainey Street. The operator is Slice Padel Co., a San Antonio company that is also building a club there. According to the padelcourtsfinder.com directory, the Austin City Council approved the lease in August 2026. The published plans include six padel courts, a cafe, a bar and a clubhouse with a pro shop. Because the courts will sit on a garage roof, we list them as outdoor; whether they will be shaded or covered has not been confirmed.
