Fabrika Padel Club

Fabrika Padel Club on Atbrīvošanas Avenue is the only padel club in Rēzekne and one of just two in all of Latgale. Two outdoor courts stand off the town's main axis, on the grounds of a former factory — hence the club's name.

Padel has spread more slowly in Latgale than around Riga, and the two courts in Rēzekne, together with two in Daugavpils, are all the region has. That means the club serves a wide area — Rēzekne, Ludza, Viļāni, Kārsava, and Preiļi.

As outdoor courts, they operate in the warm season. Winters in Rēzekne are harsher than on the coast, so the season here is shorter than in Kurzeme or Riga. The nearest indoor hall is two hundred kilometres away, in Riga.
